Pirates and books! What’s there not to love? I think almost all kids have this “pirate-love” phase at some or other point of their life. Maybe it’s the thrill of treasure hunt or excitement of sailing in ships, there is something about Pirates, that almost all kids, be it boys or girls, toddlers or teens, they love to read and re-read the adventures of a pirate.
How about starting this summer vacation with some pirate stories? Now there is only one problem in this – there are way too many good books on pirates and we love them all. It’s been difficult for us to select only a few but we decided to go ahead with choices of our in-house little readers :-). Do give these books a try and let us know if you loved one or all. How I Became A Pirate

This is an amazing book about how Jeremy Jacob became a pirate! While the pirates are sailing with a treasure, suddenly a disruption occurred which made a serious obstacle for their journey. So they decide to bury their treasure in Jeremy Jacob’s backyard. What happened when pirates asked Jacob for help? Did he agree? The illustrations by David Shannon will make the reader feel each and every moment of the story.

He is an obedient pirate who inconveniences and troubles the other pirates on board. He is also not a part of any major activities. What did Roger do to make everyone in the ship happy? Falls the remaining story.

Pirate Mom is a super fun book to read for both moms and kids. This is the story of a mom who gets hypnotized into thinking that she is a pirate. It’s always fun when kids have to be the adult in a situation. Author Deborah successfully created this extremely fun-filled book.

Do give these books a try but as I always say, these are some of the books that the mommy me enjoyed reading with her little one. It may happen that your junior won’t like some or all the books from this list and that’s perfectly fine. Every child has his/her own preferences, let’s just respect their choices and read them what they want.
