Grandmother’s Dreamcatcher

Grandmother’s Dreamcatcher

The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is always very special. This book beautifully highlights the Native American culture and exhibits the special relationship a young girl has with her grandmother. Usually, when a child wakes up all of a sudden from sleep from a bad dream, parents or any adult who’s beside them will tap on their back. Something different happens in this story.

Kiddingly - Grandmothers Dreamcatcher 1 300x218

After the girl in the story continually has bad dreams, her grandmother shows her a way to avoid them by making a dreamcatcher for her. The grandmother explains to her a story behind the dreamcatcher and helps her to construct it after they go out to collect the items they need from nature. This book is very interesting because of the stunning illustrations and strong language, the reader will definitely be reminded of their relationship with their own grandmother.
