Knowing about families. Isn’t this an important topic to know for kids? Absolutely this is an important topic for kids. This is the story about two multi-racial children, their parents and their day at the zoo. The story mainly talks about two diverse families. And the way the families are illustrated in this book is top class.

The author in this talks about different families like multiracial families, families with two dads, families with single mothers, and so on. And the story also touches some sensitive topics like adoption, family structures, even families that do not have children at all. But please don’t assume that this is going to be serious. This is one such book in which great and important topics of families are discussed in a fun way so that readers can enjoy it.

The main agenda of the author is to convey to readers that one should feel comfortable in their own skin. To teach this in a fun way the character’s author had chosen throughout the book are babies, adults, and even animals. He also tells that pets(animals) are also part of a family. There are plenty of colors in the illustrations which are used to show the happiness and love between the characters.

The language used by the author throughout the book is unique which is little different from other children’s books. In one sense the author is telling the story, in which we can also see the children in the story are telling how they are feeling and thinking.

We would strongly recommend this book to young readers. By the end, the book will make children laugh, compare and feel that unconditional love from their family.
