Imagine that you got locked in a store for one full night. Exciting? or Terrific? Hahahahaha. Everyone might have their own answer for this. This is one of those interesting fictions which kids will enjoy for sure. Corduroy is the story of a teddy bear who roams searching for his missing button. Interesting, isn’t it? Yes, a button goes missing on Corduroy. So when all the shoppers have gone home, the store was closed and here starts the adventurous journey of our cute little teddy bear.
Corduroy comes down from the shelf to look for his missing button. It’s a new world altogether, but he’s brave enough to enter the new world. He unexpectedly gets on to an escalator that he assumes to be a mountain. And he sees the furniture section in the store and thinks that it must be a palace. He tries to pull a button above the mattress, but teddy ends up falling on the bed and tapping over a lamp.
Later the watchman hears some sounds and finds Corduroy. He puts him back on the shelf. The next morning, something good happens to the teddy bear. A little girl named Lisa buys him with the pocket money and takes him to her room. Corduroy decides this as his home and that Lisa as his friend.
He loves his new home very much and always wishes to stay at a home than a shop. The house is much bigger and lovely than you can assume it to be. At the end did his wish gets fulfilled? Read this heartwarming story to know. Those clear illustrations and beautiful narration will make you read this again and again.
