Awww – that was my first reaction when I read this super sweet book by Amanda Rowe. It portrays the relationship of a mother and child in such a beautiful way that by the time the story ends, you will find yourself hugging your child with a big smile on your face :).
It’s cute, delightful, and super-duper sweet. The illustrations Olga Skomorokhova are gorgeous, making it very appealing for the little readers.
If there never was a you, how empty life would be! Who would make me smile and laugh and keep me company? – This one is a story of a mother rabbit and baby rabbit where they are having a conversation about how the life of the mother would have been incomplete without the little one.
Filled with heartwarming messages of love, belonging, and togetherness, If There Never Was a You gently reassures children that the place they hold in their parents’ hearts can never be filled with anything else.
Language is easy to read, the moments described in the book are very relatable. Overall, a book that we would like to read again and again. This book would also make a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day or Birthdays for little readers below 6 years age group. We are definitely going to add it to our Mother’s Day collection next year.
Do give this one a try and I think you and your little one would like it. We would love to hear your feedback about the book.
As our readers know, we love doodling and we try to create something from the books that we enjoy reading a lot. So, in case your little one enjoyed this story and would like to doodle a bunny, here’s a quick tutorial for you to try it out. If your little reader is too young to draw, you may take the printout of the full image here and enjoy coloring instead of doodling.
Happy reading and happy doodling :).
