Every Sunday after church time, CJ and his grandma ride the bus across the town. During their ride, CJ has many questions for her grandma like Why their friend Colby has a car. They always wonder why Colby doesn’t have a car. Why doesn’t he have an iPod like the boys on the bus? How come they always have to get off in the dirty part of town? “Why” this? “Why” that and “How this happened”? And his grandma has an answer actually perfect answers filled with compassion and grace and love for every question

This amazing ride describes the city through a grandma and grandson perspective. Every situation is wonderfully explained by Matt de la Pena’s vibrant text and Christian Robinson’s bright illustrations.
