Awww – that was my reaction when this story ended :). Such a cute book and such a beautiful message in the story.
You don’t have to be perfect all the time! And where there is a will, there is a way.
This is a book about a bad seed. He has a bad temper, bad manners, and a bad attitude. He’s been bad since he can remember! This seed cuts in line every time stares at everybody and never listens. But what happens when one mischievous little seed changes his mind about himself and decides that he wants to be—happy?
Written by Jory John and illustrated by Pete Oswald, The Bad Seed is a funny yet touching tale that reminds us of the remarkably transformative power of will, acceptance, and just being you. Perfect for readers young and old, The Bad Seed proves that positive change is possible for each and every one of us.
We loved reading this book and we found the illustrations to be adorable. We think it will be a great read for young readers in the age group 3-6 years. It leaves you with a smile and many talking points with little readers. It communicates them beautifully that it’s never too late to change.
This book is available for purchase at Amazon here. And if you would like to listen to its read-aloud version, you can find a good version here.
We plan to doodle this character as we loved the expressions of this seed. We will update the link of it here soon. But in the meantime, if you would like to try some of our recent doodles, you can find the prompts and tutorials at our Creative Corner.
This author has written many other interesting books, we will be back with their reviews soon.
Till then, read every day, doodle every day, and keep the boredom away :).
Love,
Kiddingly
